The suburbs in Japan are much different from American suburbs. Yachiyo-chuo is a small town on a rail line that takes commuters into the heart of Tokyo. Instead of detached houses with large yards, Japanese suburbs consist of both houses, with quite tiny gardens, and high-rise apartment buildings. The tall building in this picture is near a train station, supermarket, bank, and the main post office. Many other small shops and restaurants can also be found in the neighborhood.
I’m in a small suburb in Saitama. Not that far from Tokyo. I like it here. So quiet especially at night.

After living for 8 years in Bangkok I appreciate the quiet of the suburbs in Japan. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
